Phone Concept for Michael DiTullo Design
October 2017 - Present
As an Industrial Designer for Michael DiTullo Design, I develop concepts, create CAD models, produce product renderings, and build prototypes. I also work directly with clients to meet their needs. I've had the chance to work with companies including Eagle Creek, ICON 4x4, Kirei USA, Ovation Medical, Shot Tracker, and The San Diego Zoo. I work at Michael DiTullo Design as an independent contractor.

Electric VW Type II Bus
June 2015 - August 2016
Zelectric Motors converts vintage Volkswagens and Porsches into electric vehicles. I designed and 3D modeled a range of parts to solve mechanical challenges while preserving the romance of the mid-century vehicles.
Koby Keyes Product Design LLC

est. 2016
I co-founded Koby Keyes Product Design to develop a handful of my own products with my business partner after graduating. We received a number of awards and patents for the Strada walker and the Terrain Tire.

Consulting Experience
Consulting has allowed me to work with a wide range of companies. My experience has shown me how different companies operate and has allowed me to acquire new skills. I have learned to quickly identify a company's specific goal and tailor my workflow to their needs. I have worked with internal design teams, engineers, marketing departments, and owners. I've exercised different communication styles with each of these groups, and I've become a better designer by appreciating everyone's individual needs.

EDUCATION
AWARDS

Recognition
I received a Red Dot award for my work on Strada, a mobility device that reduces joint pain and increases stability for the user. I also received recognition from IDEA, Spark, and The James Dyson Award. These awards were shared with my design partner, the professor who oversaw our senior project, and the director of the Product Design department at the University of Oregon.
PATENTS

US 10639226
I received a utility patent for Strada, a mobility device that reduces joint pain and encourages better posture. While navigating the patent process I learned about patent theory and how to create concepts that may be patentable.
US D846463
I received a design patent for low impact light-duty tires that reduce vibration and overcome obstacles with ease. The patent office is still reviewing my utility patent for the low impact tires. I created the drawings for both patents to the USPTO specification.
REMOTE WORK

Experience
As an independent designer for the past 4 years, most of my projects have included a significant amount of remote work. Typically, a project has had in-person meetings at the beginning and end of the project, with virtual meetings and reviews almost daily.
With that experience, I am well equipped to take on a full time remote job - or work remotely during COVID-19.
Skills
I have an array of cloud based applications that help me review CAD models in real time with colleagues. I maintain a powerful computing system with an encrypted connection for handling intellectual property and working efficiently. I also have a high quality microphone and clean backdrop for clarity in virtual meetings.
I am self motivated and manage my time very well. I am organized and reliably meet deadlines. I can communicate clearly while talking about forms and colors or tolerances and manufacturing techniques. I am immediately available to begin remote work.
